The Watergate Bay Hotel group will open a lifestyle aparthotel in Hayle, Cornwall and have plans for more in the future.
The announcement was made at the virtual Annual Hotel Conference on 8th October by Ben Harper, managing director of the group which also includes Another Place, the Lake in Ullswater, Cumbria.
He said: “We’ve been able to really crack on with our growth agenda despite the obvious uncertainties… We’d like to do more of them and we see that as a really good way to grow that brand.”
The design-led aparthotel will be situated on the beach and operated by Beach Retreats.
The group’s expansion plans include building seven beach suites on former site of Fifteen Cornwall in Watergate Bay and relaunching Amport House in Hampshire in 2022, under the Another Place brand. They hope to have a further five or six hotels in their portfolio in the next five years.
