Bristol Allotment Vineyard announces collaboration with Sussex Rosé specialist

After a successful #LockDownLaunch, Nania’s Vineyard, a Bristol Allotment Vineyard turned drinks brand, has partnered with one of England’s only specialist rosé wine producers, Off the Line, to produce their next vintage.

Founded by documentary cameraman James Bayliss-Smith and his wife the eponymous Shelley Nania, Nania’s Vineyard is a collaborative English drinks brand with a vision to bring English craft drinks to a wide audience, through the sustainable and convenient choice of cans for their drinks. Launched during lockdown the company entered the fray with an English wine spritzer clocking in at just 5.5% ABV, perfect for those outdoor occasions where a hefty glass bottle just won’t do and suited to any time or place where a lighter drink is preferred.

2020 is proving to be a vintage year for the English wine industry, despite some vineyards experiencing a devastating frost early in the season. Off the Line have produced some of the finest fruit since they planted in 2014 and are creating a bespoke wine for Nania’s from their Rondo grapes, recently picked, pressed and currently fermenting in sunny Sussex. This will form the base wine for a fruity Rosé Spritzer, due to be blended with Springwater drawn from beneath the legendary Glastonbury Tor, and set to launch in the spring.

The next project for Nania’s Vineyard is a Kombucha brewery, currently being set up by founder James Bayliss-Smith next to his central Bristol allotment enabling them to expand their range of products with a ‘backyard booch‘, craft-brewed and barrel-fermented with hops grown on the allotment and tea sourced from the best plantations across the world.

At the forefront of the craft drinks revolution, Nania’s Vineyard is set to build on the success of this launch year with ambitious plans for 2021. Get in touch to sample their inaugural vintage currently available by email at james@naniasvineyard.co.uk or call 07801287924.
