Bath Christmas Market 2020 goes virtual

This year, the award-winning Bath Christmas Market is going virtual, showcasing its’ range of magical producers, artists and makers online. From the 1st October through to the 1st January 2021, bathchristmasmarket.co.uk will direct you straight to stallholders’ websites. Shop from the comfort of your home whilst knowing you are supporting many of the city’s creative and unique businesses.

Bath Christmas Market lovers will find lots of their favourite produce, delicious seasonal food and drink, beautifully crafted homewares, Christmas decorations, personalised gifts, handcrafted jewellery, and much more. Look out for the exclusive festive deals and discounts many will be offering.

Around 27 local charities will also have a listing on bathchristmasmarket.co.uk, with a link through to their websites and social channels where donations can be made.

Mick Heath, head of events, Visit Bath, said: “Cancelling Bath Christmas Market this year was hugely disappointing for our stallholders, many of whom rely on the market for a large proportion of their annual turnover. It was therefore extremely important to us to find a way to support them, so we are delighted that we can direct shoppers – from all over the UK and potentially beyond – online to shop from the market’s producers, as well as continue to support a range of local charities; last year £26k was raised, so it’s an element of Bath Christmas Market we are very proud of.”

For foodies, Lick the Spoon are offering their handmade chocolates and truffles in plastic-free packaging. Purchase seasonal gourmet chutneys and jams using locally forged produce from Go Wild Preserves, or tasty teas from Bath-based The Leafy Tea Company. Find homemade traditional Christmas puddings from Plum Duff & Stuff, now offering vegan and gluten-free varieties, and exceptionally luxurious flapjacks available in a range of interesting flavours from Flapjackery. Cheeses, Spirits, fudge, brownies, ciders and many more…

For gorgeous gifts and homewares look out for Limelight Bath; hand-poured candles and fine home fragrances come in exquisitely wrapped packaging. Find hand-forged kitchenware and cooking utensils from Forge Kitchenware, and if you’re looking for the perfect gift for a gardener, Garden Treasures offer an inspiring range of rustic garden ornaments and decorations.

Health and beauty fans can find wonderful natural skincare products made using honey and beeswax from Hive Originals, and aromatherapy and organic skincare from Bohoho Aromatherapies.

No Christmas shopping is complete without purchasing a few Christmas tree decorations! Do not miss handcrafted glass decorations by Robyn Coetzee – particularly the beautiful winter robins! And Bollywood Christmas – a range of Indian inspired decorations designed in Bath.
