Pentire releases new limited edition non-alcoholic spirit

A Cornish non-alcoholic spirit brand is launching a new limited edition product this Friday 27 November. Pentire Seaward is the second spirit from Port Isaac-based Pentire, and contains leading notes of pink grapefruit followed by herbal notes of sea rosemary. Only 700 bottles have been produced, available exclusively online at pentiredrinks.com.

Founder Alistair Frost said: “We are so excited to release this new flavour which we have been developing over the last few months. We have only produced a limited number of bottles, so once they’re gone, they’re gone. It started out as an idea, an experiment, and something we discovered to be simply delicious. It’s bright, zesty and verdant, and pairs wonderfully with a light tonic. For a more sophisticated and refreshing drink, our perfect serve is Pentire Seaward with soda and a pink grapefruit slice to garnish.”

Pentire Seaward includes a blend of sea rosemary, woodruff, sea buckthorn, pink grapefruit and wild seaweed.

Described as a ‘drink for tomorrow’, Pentire’s non-alcoholic spirits are inspired by a love of coastal living and an active lifestyle. The brand’s original flavour, Pentire Adrift, was launched in May 2019, and has seen its sales increase throughout this year as people have been trying alternatives to alcoholic drinks during lockdown.

Alistair continued: “Our spirits are not about cutting alcohol out of your life; they’re about trying something new and making healthier lifestyle choices. The range of botanicals we use in our distillation process contains a lot of nutritional qualities. Grapefruit in particular is rich in vitamin C, and was eaten by sailors for generations to help their immune systems stay strong and healthy.”

All Pentire spirits are distilled, bottled and labelled by hand, producing a drink which harnesses the power, beauty and immense flavour of the natural ingredients. They are low in calories and free from added sugar, artificial colours and artificial flavourings, making them a great option for those looking to be more health-conscious over the Christmas and New Year period, and beyond.

A 70cl bottle is priced at £26.80, including free next-day carbon offset delivery on all orders at pentiredrinks.com
