Rejoice despite lockdown with Star and Garter’s chef-cooked Sunday roast

Acclaimed Falmouth eatery, Star and Garter, have adapted and packaged their signature, indulgent take on Sunday Roast and made it available for delivery all over the country.

Packed with the finest Cornish produce, and featuring Philip Warren’s 30 day aged moorland beef sirloin, the box contains everything you need to take lockdown Sundays to another level.

Including roasted seasonal vegetables, the ultimate cauliflower cheese, and Horseradish and thyme Yorkshire puddings – plus a decadent dessert to finish (S&G’s famous dark chocolate mousse cheesecake with smoked almond praline), at £45 the box generously feeds two. Extras can be added including a selection of Verdant beers, hand-mixed cocktails and a curated collection of wines.

Locals in Falmouth, Penryn and St Agnes will get their hassle-free Sunday indulgence package delivered to their doors, and preparation time is just 30mins. Nationwide deliveries take place by courier; orders must be placed before 3pm on a Wednesday ahead of the approaching weekend.

Elliot Thompson, co-owner of the Star and Garter, said “Sunday lunch is sacrosanct here at Star & Garter, and we wanted to find a way of bringing that joy back into lockdown life. We tried lots of other premium Sunday roast boxes and decided we could go a step further! Using produce from our Cornish suppliers we fine-tuned the contents – from duck fat roasted potatoes to bone marrow gravy – aiming to replicate the kind of roasts that great home cooks spend all week planning and preparing.”

He added: “The Roast Boxes make great gifts to send to friends and family while you can’t enjoy a Sunday lunch together, and we have plans for an Easter special edition. We’re hoping to continue delivering the boxes around the country after lockdown ends – like many other businesses Covid has forced us to adapt and become more versatile.”

A simple flow chart is included with each box to make sure every element is timed to perfection; simply put the oven on, pour yourself a glass of wine and let the chef-prepared ingredients work their magic.

Order online here and look out for future new product releases by following Star & Garter on social media (@starandgartercornwall).
