UKFoodWeb is a new map-based search application that lets consumers and businesses connect directly to local food producers, farmers, fishermen and all those involved with making food. Finding local producers is often a challenge, yet many don’t know that an artisan bakery is 2 miles away or that there’s an organic free range egg producer in the next village.
“We aim to level the playing field, enabling even the smallest of food brands to compete on an even footing with national & international brands.” says UKFoodWeb founder Richard Perry. “We have developed a directory service for the UK food and drink industry that we think is unique and we’d like UK food producers to get involved now.”

For food producers UKFoodWeb is an inexpensive and efficient way to store product data, marketing information, provenance and sustainability credentials, product carbon footprint and nutrition and allergen information. This information can then be searched by consumers and businesses.
Product information for consumer safety is paramount, and with Natasha’s Law coming into effect later in 2021, it has never been more important to ensure correct labelling and visibility of food content for consumers and supply chains. 1/50 have a peanut allergy and 1/10 have an intolerance or allergy of some description. UKFoodWeb can store all this information in a format that can be easily exported for business use, along with images, saving producers time, and making it easier for food producers and customers to trade.
