Trewithen Dairy Appoints New Head of Marketing

Trewithen Dairy, the family-run producer of high quality Cornish dairy products, is delighted to announce the appointment of Emma Lawes to its management team as head of marketing.

Emma, who joins Trewithen Dairy with a background in marketing and product management, will be responsible for developing and growing the brand. In particular she will oversee positioning the brand for its next stage of growth as it looks to expand nationally, and lead how the business brings innovative new products to market.

Before joining the Lostwithiel-based business, Emma had worked in various key positions with national brands. Notably, she was head of proposition development at Virgin Media, where she gained extensive experience designing and implementing marketing strategies and launching successful consumer products and services to market.

Emma says: “I’m so excited to be working with Trewithen Dairy and putting plans in place to continue the growth of the business, helping ensure its incredible success story maintains momentum and driving the business forward as it positions itself to the national consumer market.”

Emma has a keen interest in the countryside and spent much of her childhood with her family in the West Country. She is also a qualified personal trainer, and is passionate about health, fitness, food and its provenance and the environment.

Emma adds: “My background in consumer marketing and my love of food and drink will bring, I believe, something very positive to the brand. Trewithen Dairy is committed to animal welfare and environmental preservation, and I’m really passionate about brands that intrinsically have an ethical stance towards business. I’m thrilled to have been given this opportunity to work with a company like Trewithen Dairy and am very much looking forward to being a part of its future growth.”

Trewithen Dairy’s managing director Francis Clarke comments: “Emma’s knowledge and passion really impressed us from the start and we are delighted to welcome her to the Trewithen Dairy team. We care deeply about natural, ethical and environmentally positive food and we want these messages to resonate with customers who want the nutrition, health and taste benefits of great dairy products. Emma’s unique mix of experience in the fast moving digital and media industries, combined with her personal passion and knowledge for health and food, is a really exciting prospect for our future brand developments and gives me confidence as we head into the next phase of our business growth that focuses on the Trewithen brand.”
