As the temperature rises, Rave Coffee roasts Cold Brew with a conscience

Bringing a stone-cold caffeine hit for those warm summer days, Rave Coffee’s Cold Brew No. 9 blend takes its impact on the planet as seriously as its fresh nuances in flavour. Firm believers that ethical sourcing and quality beans go hand-in-hand, Rave works closely with its partners in the world’s most respected growing regions to deliver a Cold Brew with a warm heart.

As cold brew continues to make its mark in coffee shops across the country, Rave is one of a handful of top coffee roasters to release a blend created specifically for cold brewing at home. With just a large container, a filter and some filtered water, coffee lovers can have their cold brew doing its thing overnight to produce a concentrated coffee essence. It can then be diluted with 50% water and served chilled, enjoyed in the knowledge that 1% of all sales will go to environmental causes through Rave’s 1% for the Planet commitment.

The perfect companion for walks, picnics and long journeys, the concentrated brew can also be used to make iced coffees, iced lattes and frappes, rather than using chilled espresso. Cold Brew is more than just a shift in temperature though, producing a sweeter, less acidic and more delicately nuanced coffee than its hotter counterparts.

The Cold Brew beans have also done their bit to address the impact of shifting temperatures on coffee growers across the world, as a result of Rave’s long-term partnerships with single estate and smallholder cooperatives. With initiatives to improve the sustainability of farms and ensure that a fair price is paid to the farmer, including innovative approaches to processing that help to conserve precious natural resources, Rave strives to maintain a balance between the environment and the livelihoods of all involved in coffee production.

Rave Coffee’s Cold Brew No. 9 can be purchased from ravecoffee.co.uk for £7.50 per 300g bag. The Hario Cold Brew Gift Set is priced at £25.00 and includes a Hario Cold Brew Pot, a 300g bag of Rave’s Cold Brew and a Rave Brew Guide.
