Perfect days out for foodies are being held at Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens when the Food Fair returns for the weekend of 18th and 19th September.
Organised in partnership with Dorset Food & Drink, the Fair will celebrate the best Dorset produce with some 30-plus producers from the county showcasing their wares in the stunning grounds of the Subtropical Gardens.
Producers will be selling everything from beers, ciders and local gins, to baked goods, meat, charcuterie, cheeses, condiments and much more. Tastings will be going on throughout the event which runs from 10.00am to 4.00pm each day. Entry to the Food Fair will be £7 for adults and £5 for children, which also includes all-day access to the Subtropical Gardens.
Martin Alderman, General Manager at Abbotsbury Tourism says: “We are delighted that the Food Fair is returning to the Gardens and to be working with Dorset Food & Drink again to celebrate the county’s wonderful produce and producers. Visitors will be able to enjoy the Food Fair as well as visit the Gardens in their autumn splendour for one all-inclusive price. If our previous Food Fairs are anything to go by, this will be a wonderful day out!”
Dorset Food & Drink Coordinator Caz Richards says: “We hope the local community and staycationers will come and support this popular event and look forward to seeing everybody. Shopping and in the fresh air, catching up with friends and supporting local producers. It’s a winning combination!”
Caz continues, “Abbotsbury is a fantastic outdoor venue with plenty of room for social distancing. We are delighted to collaborate with the Abbotsbury Gardens team and volunteers, to get this popular food fair back on the menu for 2021. Roll on 2022!”
Tickets for the Food Fair can be bought online in advance or on the gate. More information at abbotsbury-tourism.co.uk/gardens/events/.
