Bristol’s popular shipping container food and drink destination Cargo could be expanded with four new restaurants. The owners of Cargo at Wapping Wharf have filed plans to increase the size of the development with the arrival of Cargo 3. This would see an additional four units along Museum Street, extending the range of independent cafes, shops and restaurants.
Owner Umberslade is also applying to Bristol City Council to extend the temporary planning permission currently in place for Cargo 1 and Cargo 2 for a further five years to give certainty for existing businesses. The site supports up to 300 full and part-time jobs with restaurants including Woky Ko, Root, Box-E and Tare.
