The Ivy Lodge Clubhouse at Cirencester Park Polo Club to stay open through Autumn

The stunning, newly renovated Ivy Lodge Clubhouse, at Cirencester Park Polo Club, has become a roaring success and immensely popular amongst the polo crowd as well as many locals. This hidden gem may have gone under the radar of other locals, so the restaurant has decided to stay open post polo season to welcome both its regulars as well as those who have yet to experience the exquisite food served by Head Chef Ethan Rodgers, a locally renowned culinary expert. The response to the reopening of the restaurant for this polo season has been fabulous with so many compliments to the chef and consistently cleaned off plates being returned to the kitchen. A buzzy atmosphere has been prevalent with guests also enjoying our splendid wine and drinks menu.

The Ivy Lodge restaurant is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Cirencester Park just a 20-minute walk from the park gates. Serving one of the best roast dinners around, it is the perfect spot for a cosy meal on an autumnal Sunday walk. Head Chef Ethan’s philosophy centres around using fine locally sourced produce, cooked simply and served in a way that allows the food to speak for itself. Ethan has mastered just that in the dishes served from his kitchen. He has gone through efforts to find a large majority of his ingredients from local sources and he keeps his menus relevant to the season. Every dish is crafted to perfection and is explosive with beautiful flavours and textures.

Ethan has previously been a part of The Lucky Onion group and has worked in many locally renowned restaurants around the Cotswolds, building his own impeccable reputation. At the age of 25 he was awarded with his first AA rosette and Bib Gourmand which shows just how naturally talented he is. He started his career and learnt from the best at some of the most reputable restaurants in London including The Dorchester and The Conrad. He has since worked at some of the best Cotswold eateries including taking over from the founder at Made by Bob’s Brassiere, The Bell Inn and The Wheatsheaf (Northleach). Ethan has had some fantastic press including being featured in The Huffington Post and Evening Standard.

The club house venue has also been a perfect host to many fabulous events through this season and there are many in the pipe lines to come through the autumn. The clubhouse is available to hire for private and corporate functions and events.  Birthday parties, Christmas do’s, office conferences and more…

Chef Ethan designs menus to suit any occasions, from delicious buffets to the most exceptional bespoke high-end cuisine – anything is possible! The team also offer a full event management service where they can transform the restaurant and bar to fit any theme or occasion – just this weekend it was turned into a dance floor for the End of Season party and in a few days will be turned into a conference meeting room for a Chamber of Commerce meeting!  They can take all the stress away and handle every detail of your event, from decor and menus to invitations, entertainment and theming.  The bar can also design bespoke cocktail menus for special celebrations.
