Monarch Liqueurs – home of the Tamar Tipple – are delighted to have been awarded a Gold by Taste of the West for their Peach Brandy Liqueur and their Apple Brandy Liqueur.
Made with the finest XO and quality brandy infused with aromatic peaches and crisp, green apples these two new additions take pride of place among the many Silvers awarded to the variety of liqueurs produced by Cliff and Liz West.
This small company is nestled in the tranquil Tamar Valley, and its now comprehensive range of rum, gin, whisky, vodka and brandy-based liqueurs are produced in small batches and easily recognised under their Tamar Tipple banner, complete with an iconic logo of nearby Druxton Bridge.
Monarch Liqueurs is a husband and wife company with Cliff, the mixologist, spending hours beavering away in his “shed” developing and infusing new and exclusive flavours, with the finest ingredients sourced locally wherever possible. Liz has the job of chief “Taster”! Over the years, recipes have been tweaked to reduce sugar content in line with modern tastes and only fresh spring water is used in the mixing process.
It’s no surprise then, that Monarch Liqueurs now has the two coveted Gold Awards to add to the nine Silver awards from Taste of the West under its belt! These include among others Silver for the Honey & Spice Rum liqueur, the Spiced Orange Whisky and the Salted Caramel Rum liqueur. Cliff and Liz continue to work on new and exciting flavours, like the recently released Spirit of Lanson Gin, a traditional, dry Cornish Gin, there are bound to be more to come!
