The Kings Arms, Melksham, reopens after extensive refurbishment

The King’s Arms, Market Place, Melksham, now managed by Butcombe Pubs & Inns, has reopened following an extensive refurbishment inside and out. The pub with rooms in the heart of Melksham now boasts gorgeous interiors, 13 stylish bedrooms and delicious new menus, in one of the town’s most iconic and historic buildings.

The 18th century pub has been given a complete makeover with a nod to its grand past. Wood panelled walls in hues of heritage blues, plenty of greenery and Arts and Crafts-inspired wallpapers now feature alongside leather banquette seating, upholstered floral lounge chairs, tartan carpets and statement wall and pendant lighting, creating a variety of cosy and elegant drinking and dining areas to choose from.

Outside is a cobbled beer garden, perfect for alfresco dining and drinking.

Toni Morris-Ditty, Operations Manager, Butcombe Pubs & Inns says: “We’re incredibly proud of the new look King’s Arms and we’re delighted to be able to welcome visitors old and new once again. It’s quite a transformation and we’re sure our guests will enjoy the changes we’ve made to the décor and our fresh new award-winning food and drink offering.”

The menu focuses on locally sourced produce, seasonal ingredients and elevated hearty pub classics. The menus and daily specials also feature Butcombe ales where possible – such as Butcombe Gold beer-battered fish and chips. The team is always on hand to recommend the perfect beer pairing with dishes. Behind the bar is a great selection of wine and cocktails, alongside a wide range of craft beer, real ale and cider from Butcombe’s award-winning brewery.

The 13 beautifully designed new bedrooms have everything you would expect for a great night’s stay – super comfy beds, country classic styling, high end bathrooms – the ideal base for exploring Melksham, nearby historic Corsham, Bradford-on-Avon, Bath and the stunning Wiltshire countryside.

The King’s Arms is dog-friendly, family-friendly and happy to cater for both large and small groups. There are two private dining rooms ideal for weddings, meetings and parties.

There are a number of great job opportunities at the King’s Arms so anyone looking to join an amazing team should get in touch: kingsarms@butcombepubs.com
