The Trading Post Farm Shop

Just off the A303, nestled amongst the Somerset countryside, The Trading Post Farm Shop is a hidden gem that delights with its selection of farm grown organic vegetables, locally sourced food, drink and unusual locally crafted gifts.

Open 7 days a week, the Trading Post Farm Shop, set on a working organic farm, supports over 150 local suppliers bringing you the best that the West Country has to offer.

The Trading Post is much more than a farm shop though – it is a wholefoods’ market, a greengrocers, a deli and a treasure trove all rolled into one, and it is this heady mix which led the Sunday Times to describe it as ‘A Mini Borough Market’ in May 2021. Fresh bread daily, cakes, biscuits, organically grown fruit and veg, preserves; jam, chutney & pickles, local beer, cider and wine, a stunning selection of West Country spirits and much, much more.

As if this wasn’t enough, Kate and Andy (owners of the Trading Post since 2017), have recently expanded further and made a huge commitment to CHRISTMAS. They have created a festive grotto by adding a fabulous marquee filled with all things Christmas.

Pop into this Aladdin’s Cave to find everything you could possibly need to make this December special. The new space is home to hot chocolate bombes, tea advent calendars, baubles, books, truffles and many other scrumptious things which would make excellent stocking fillers or treats for the table. You could also create a hamper, filled with your favourites.

The marquee has been an instant hit with everyone – there are even some chocolate ‘Bah Humbug’ lollies for those customers who aren’t quite in the festive spirit yet!
