Liberation Group makes Publican Awards shortlist

Liberation Group (owners of Butcombe Pubs & Inns) has been shortlisted as a finalist at this year’s Publican Awards.  The brewery and pub group, with an estate spanning the south west and Channel Islands, has made the shortlist for three categories in the prestigious awards, which champion the very best operators in the pub industry.

Liberation Group is in the running for:

  • Best Accommodation Operator: This award will be presented to a pub company that has focused on offering accommodation as a key part of their business. Accommodation will play a significant part in contributing to the company’s profits and helping drive trade.
  • Best Managed Pub Company (51+ Sites): This award will be presented to a highly successful managed retail estate, which has shown strong innovation and business performance in the past year.
  • Best Premium Food Offer: This award will be presented to a pub company that delivers a successful premium food offer across their estate, with food a key part of the company’s total sales.

Jayson Perfect, Group Managing Director, Pubs & Inns, Liberation Group says: “What a fantastic way to kickstart 2022!  Reaching the finals in three categories is incredible and emphasises what we’re all about – amazing food and drink, beautiful and stylish accommodation and an all-round great company to work for.

“The past year has been another difficult one for our industry but thanks to our amazing teams and loyal guests we’ve continued to adapt and innovate whilst creating a comfortable, safe and welcoming pub experience for our visitors.”

All of this year’s finalists will continue to be placed through the Publican Awards’ notoriously rigorous judging process. This ensures that all finalists will be supplied with a realistic audit on their business, as well as guaranteeing that all awards are given fairly and deservedly.

Jayson Perfect continues: “A huge thanks must also go to our executive chef Alice Bowyer and her team for reaching the finals for our food offer for the fourth year running.  Their hard work, innovation and passion is unwavering, cementing us as one of the best in the business.”

The Publican Awards’ Finals will be held at Battersea Evolution in London on Wednesday 30th March 2022. Visit publicanawards.co.uk for more details.
