St. Mellion Estate gets £2m Holiday Cottage Collection redevelopment underway.

It goes without saying that St. Mellion Estate is a holiday resort destination of choice for those seeking a memorable trip to the West Country. The Cornish resort, renowned for its exceptional hospitality and outstanding golf & leisure facilities, is ideally located for holiday makers wishing to explore the very best of the South West.

Formerly known as St. Mellion International Resort, the resort underwent a strategic rebrand in 2020, with a focus on broadening its appeal to the developing UK holiday market that emerged as a result of the pandemic. With not only a World Class golf course on offer, but also the highly rated Kernow Course and extensive accommodation and leisure facilities, the name ‘St. Mellion Estate’ materialised.

One of the Estate’s best kept secrets are the 18 holiday cottages which sit nestled between the two golf courses, a short drive from the main resort. The demand for ‘staycation’ self-catered holiday accommodation has increased dramatically over the last 18 months, especially in Cornwall, so there has never been a better time to get phase 2 of the ‘St. Mellion’ rebrand underway, developing the wider Estate.

‘Phase 1 of our multi million pound redevelopment plan focused on the main resort with a brand new pro shop, a fleet of 60 GPS golf buggies, along with upgrades to our poolside facilities including a brand new spa pool and sauna. It’s an exciting time for the Estate as we forge ahead with phase 2 developing the Holiday Cottage Collection’ says Matt Pressman, Resort Director.

The £2 million Holiday Cottage Collection development plan sees the entire collection of properties reconfigured and refurbished, resulting in a high end, diverse offering to satisfy both the golfing and family holiday market. The uniquely situated self-catered cottages will comprise of 1 bedroom and bunk bedroom, 2 & 3 bedroom options all with private parking and French doors opening out onto private outdoor entertainment areas. With a variety of property sizes and layout designs, from bungalows to the distinctively designed ‘turret’ cottages, St. Mellion’s new Holiday Cottage Collection will offer a truly unique ‘staycation’ experience in Cornwall.

Bookings are being taken now for self-catered holidays at St. Mellion, with the cottages available from the beginning of April 2022. Please contact the Estate on 01579 351351 or reservations@st-mellion.co.uk for further details or to make a reservation. www.st-mellion.co.uk
