Trewithen Dairy

Ever since the Clarke family started dairy farming back in 1976, and started crafting delicious dairy products in 1994, they believed in best-practice dairy farming. As a result, they have won countless awards for their products and working practices.

Dairy with a difference
Driven by creating the highest quality Cornish milk, Trewithen believe that ‘not all milk is the same.’ They aimed to create a premium product by having a close relationship with farmers, paying a fair price for milk and crucially, always buying every drop of milk that is produced. All Trewithen Dairy farms are based in close proximity to the dairy and have committed to sharing a common set of values to ensure highest levels of animal health, welfare and husbandry above and beyond Red Tractor standards. They call this code their ‘trewFarming Standards’ and it ensures best practice across the business. Independent farm audits input into the national Herd Health Monitor and show that all Trewithen Dairy herds are in the top 25% of herds nationally across all 14 areas measured.

Dairy products designed specifically for hospitality
Trewithen Dairy proudly provides a dependable service to wholesalers, supermarkets, manufacturers all the way through to restaurants, corner shops, bakeries, cafes, hotels and retailers. Their fast, efficient and reliable network ensures products are widely distributed throughout the South West – so you’re never far away from Trewithen’s delicious dairy. Trade products also include:

  • Skimmed, Semi-Skimmed, Whole Milk – available in 1pt 1L 2L 13.6L pergals. Their fresh Cornish milk comes in a range of sizes including pergals for self-serve machines. Created for the perfect balance of butterfat to protein, Trewithen Dairy milk comes from a mix of dairy herds: Brown Swiss, Friesian, Holsteins and Jerseys.
  • Unsalted and Salted Butter – available in size 7 and 15 portions and 250g. Having recently won two stars in the Great Taste Awards and receiving Taste of the West’s Champion dairy product, Trewithen’s Salted Butter is recognised as outstanding in its category. Brought to life with Cornish Sea Salt, Trewithen’s Salted Butter has a unique, concentrated taste that enhances the flavour of anything it is paired with.
  • Double and Whipping Cream – 2L.
  • Cornish clotted cream – available in 56g, 114g, 200g, 400g and 907g sizes. Cornish clotted cream has earned a Protected Designation of Origin Status; an indication of its authenticity. Trewithen Dairy believe the secret behind its unique flavour is to cook the cream slowly for a longer period of time. Each small batch is made to a traditional recipe and using milk from local herds ensuring quality and provenance from the heart of Cornwall.
