The Drinks Kitchen range of 3 non-alcoholic aperitifs were all awarded Great Taste Awards this year just as it begins to ramp up production to build its trade business.
Alli Briaris, who owns and makes the brand, started making on a small scale at The Food Works, a new food development centre in Weston Super Mare, Somerset, last summer. After having incredible feedback at local farmers markets, she began working with the centre to upscale production including investing in a small bottle filler to manage larger batches.
“I entered the Great Taste Awards this year hoping to do well as it’s a great way for potential business customers and consumers to trust a new brand and I was overjoyed to get awards for all the range” Alli commented.
About the range
Alli launched the range to create unique tasting drinks for consumers who want alternatives to alcohol after giving up alcohol herself during 2020.
“I feel that there is a huge opportunity for just amazing tasting unique blends. They don’t necessarily need to replicate alcohol as some consumers really don’t like the taste of it. I’ve also made my range so that it can be just mixed with sparkling water. This makes it a better value option for the trade and the end customer as well as cutting down on packaging“.
The range includes:
SPICED RHUBARB: Rhubarb, Juniper, Chilli & Ginger (2 Gold Stars).- HERB VERDE: Mint, Rosemary, Gentian & Thyme (1 Gold Star).
- ORANGE CINCHONA: Bitter Orange, Cinchona & a blend of 17 herbs (1 Gold Star).
The range mixes 25ml to 150/175ml sparkling water (or tonic, lemonade, soda).
Prices for 70cl RSP £22-£24. Available online at drinkskitchen.online, and also available locally at:
