After Barbara’s Kitchen won awards for their products at the Love Local, Trust Local Scheme in Dorset in 2020, and a Taste of the West Gold award in 2021 Barbara & Rich started working at making their range even more delicious.
Barbara says: “My great love of Dorset and its small producers means I want to shout about and encourage people to buy and prepare REAL food, that has been lovingly grown, reared, and produced within our county. That is why I was so excited and overwhelmed to win the “Love Local & Trust Local” award and the Taste of the West Gold award and why we continually look at improving!”
Barbara’s Kitchen has reignited its Flaming Chilies range of products with subtle flavour changes alongside new colourful branding. Despite the changes, each product is still made by hand in small batches using the open pan method and chillies homegrown from seed.
The most recent addition is the Chilli Chutney with Dorset Ale, a collaboration with Southbourne Ales based in Bournemouth.
Poole Hill Brewery in Bournemouth stocks the Ale Variety only, where it’s available in the Tap Room. However, all these award-winning products are freely available from local stockists, delis etc.
An ideal Xmas gift for the man or woman in your life who likes something spicy but flavoursome, they all pair perfectly with cheese, charcuterie and savouries which also makes it a great addition to your Christmas table.
