Delivery company Just Eat has announced the four takeaways competing in the South West region to be crowned Best Takeaway in Britain.
V. Dorset in Poole, Rockabillyz in Weymouth, The Arjee Bhajee in Bristol, and Coriander Indian takeaway in Bournemouth are up for a public vote in the South West. The winner will then go on to compete for the main prize and a £5000 cash reward.
V. Dorset is a vegetarian and vegan takeaway that specialises in plant-based burgers, fries, salads, desserts, Sunday roasts and more. Rockabillyz serves American burgers, hot dogs and shakes. The Arjee Bhajee is an “authentic Indian kitchen” selling Indian classics and has a bring-your-own restaurant. The Coriander Indian takeaway is based on South Indian and North Indian cuisine.
Other awards up for grabs include Best Newcomer, Best Vegan Menu, Best Breakfast, and Best Lunch. Customer reviews, commercial factors and consumer votes decide who wins.
You can vote online at Just Eat Restaurant Awards. Regional winners get a £1,000 cash award, and a Just Eat Restaurant Award trophy, and the overall Best Takeaway in Britain winner receives an additional £5,000. All national and regional winners will be announced at a star-studded ceremony on February 21, 2023, at the five-star The Londoner Hotel in Leicester Square.
