Christchurch Food Festival is back for the May Bank Holiday weekend!

Following the success of last year’s festival over the Jubilee weekend, we are back for another Bank Holiday bonanza with more food, drink, chefs, entertainment and family fun for 2023!

Set along the beautiful coastline of the Christchurch Quay, the festival brings together a selection of the best local, artisan producers; delicious street food; live music and entertainment and a line-up of tops chef talent.

Christchurch Food Festival has been running for over 20 years, attracting huge crowds to the picturesque harbour town on the beach-lined Dorset coast, all eager to enjoy the remarkable food and drink of the South West.

We would like to thank BCP and Christchurch Town Council for fully supporting the event and working with us to make it happen.

The festival will continue to be located exclusively on the beautiful grassy Christchurch Quay and Quomps, overlooking the River Stour, however there will also be other activities going on throughout Christchurch town center over the weekend, with lots to see and do!

Working with local food groups, Dorset Food and Drink and Hampshire Fare, the Christchurch Food Festival will showcase and celebrate some of the best small food and drink producers from the region as well as street food, local breweries and distilleries, and a host of entertainment.

Chefs – and friends of the event – James Golding and Dhruv Baker are back this year bringing a gang of top chefs to join them on stage for some live cooking! Last year they pulled together a line-up of amazing talent including Mark Hix, Richard Bertinet, Sam & Shauna, Brian Turner, Morgan McGlynn and Perry Wakeman. Expect more demos from the country’s top talent for 2023!

With its fantastic lineup of foodie fun, family activities and grassy waterside setting, the festival is a perfect day out and if you fancied treating yourself and making a weekend of it, the Captains Club Hotel is an excellent choice, perfectly situated by the water with easy access to the festival.

The festival also supports the Christchurch Food Festival Education Trust which focuses on promoting healthy eating in local schools and we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint as much as possible.

Whichever way you get there, make sure you put the 27th – 29th May in your diary and don’t miss one of the biggest food festivals in the country!

Opening times:

  • Saturday 27th May – 10.00 to 20.00.
  • Sunday 28th May – 10.00 to 20.00.
  • Bank Holiday Monday 29th May – 10.00 to 17.00.
