Colwith Farm Distillery hosted The Duchess of Edinburgh, in a Royal visit – coinciding with their fifth anniversary year.
Colwith is Cornwall’s first plough-to-bottle distillery which launched back in July 2018, and is best known for making award-winning spirits sustainably from potatoes grown on their fifth-generation family farm.

During the Distillery’s very first Royal visit, founder Steve Dustow offered The Duchess a tour of the Cornish Distillery showcasing the sustainable production process, with The Duchess filling and hand sealing the very first bottle of Colwith’s new limited edition Distillers’ Cut Gin.
The new addition to the collection is a luxury limited edition, single batch spirit showcasing their distillers’ skill, created with Gin aficionados in mind.
Steve Dustow says: “We feel honoured to have welcomed The Duchess of Edinburgh to Colwith Farm Distillery as part of her Cornwall visit. It was a wonderful opportunity, tying in with our fifth anniversary, to share a behind the scenes snapshot of how we lovingly create premium spirits, using locally sourced seasonal ingredients, from plough-to-bottle on a single site.”
The Distillery was selected as part of The Duchess of Edinburgh’s visit, as a leading independent Cornish business championing sustainable practises, with provenance and a commitment to community and the local economy.
