You can now vote for your favourite restaurant in the Uber Eats Restaurant of the Year Awards 2023. Of the nine finalists nominated for the South West region, eight are based in Bristol and take in everything from noodles to sandwiches, curries to barbecue.
People can vote on the official awards website. The ten businesses that receive the most votes will be invited to a judging event in London on October 4, 2023.
The chosen chefs will prepare two dishes for the judges to taste. Each establishment’s food will be independently marked and awarded a score out of 100. The merchant with the highest score will be crowned Uber Eats Restaurant of the Year 2023.
Restaurants nominated include: Chilli Daddy, serving up “a menu featuring Szechuan-style Chinese fare & beverages from family recipes in a laid-back setting”; The Arjee Bhajee – “an authentic Indian kitchen where our authentic chefs cook up all your favourite meals, creating a family-friendly, bring-your-own restaurant and takeaway”; Sandwich Sandwich, voted Best Independent Sandwich retailer at the Sammies National Awards 2019; Streatwok which aims to bring “a taste of Thailand in the heart of Bristol”; Low and Slow Barbecue, a pop-up smokehouse in St Nicholas Market; Daily Noodles, which serves up Asian street food in Wapping Wharf; Koocha, a mezze bar on Cheltenham Road that dishes up plant-based Persian and Middle Eastern cooking; and Cathay Rendezvous which creates Mandarin, Szechuan and Cantonese dishes. The only eatery nominated not based in Bristol is Taylors Bagels & Coffee in Bath, serving various fresh breakfast, lunch and fast food bagels.
