The Copper Crew takes a trip to Italy

The Copper Crew is set to launch a new range of wines packed in 187ml cans with a fun, fresh new design. The new-look range debuts with three new wines from Puglia in Italy.

The brand, which was acquired by Bath business the Canned Wine Co. earlier this year, features three fruit forward and approachable wines. The new selection will have broad appeal, providing convenience and minimal waste for the on and off-trade.

The all organic and vegan friendly range from Puglia IGP, comprises a vibrant and zesty Fiano, a fresh and fruity Rosato and a smooth and silky Negroamaro.

Simon Rollings, co-founder at Canned Wine Co, says: “We are re-launching The Copper Crew and keeping the brand’s approachability and appeal, and ensuring the wine inside tastes better than ever. Our new wines are the perfect option for quick service on-trade, festivals and events, with an exciting new look that will make sure it stands out on any retailer’s shelf.”

Wine Buyer and co-founder Ben Franks explains: “We chose to partner with Tenuta Viglione in Puglia for its fruit-forward, organic wines. The winery is situated between the Murgia Materana park and the forest of Mercadente with its vines at higher altitude, giving them a distinct freshness alongside their ripe fruit character.  The team also shares our holistic approach to sustainability, has invested in their growers, and has exciting plans to develop its new winery and focus on wine production that will have less impact on our planet.”

The range will be distributed by Nectar Imports.  Will Stephens, Wine Category Manager, comments: “We’re thrilled to partner with the Canned Wine Co. team to launch The Copper Crew, an outstanding canned wine operation. Their commitment to producing exceptional wines, shared cultural values and vision, with an innovative mindset that really resonated with us. We continue to be impressed by their talented team, and we’re proud to be working alongside each of them, as they lead the way in high-quality canned wine for the UK on-trade market.”
