Bango Kitchen poised to bring a series of ‘Awesome Autumn’ events

In the picturesque town of Penryn, Cornwall, alongside the tranquil Penryn river, lies Bango Kitchen, a pan-Asian canteen and event space. About 4.5 years ago, two chefs, Nick Archer and Howard Sellers, both seasoned Chefs with roots in the street food scene, transformed a historic 200+ year-old granite warehouse into the vibrant hub that is Bango Kitchen today. This charming establishment not only houses a delightful restaurant but also serves as the central hub for an array of culinary endeavours.

Bango Kitchen is not just a restaurant; it’s a dynamic culinary ecosystem. In addition to offering delectable food experiences, Bango serves as the headquarters for their street food and wedding catering brand, The Shellfish Pig. This multifaceted space also supports a bustling takeaway business for Bango’s delicious cuisine and operates as a prep kitchen for their culinary ventures.

This autumn, Bango Kitchen is poised to elevate the dining experience with a captivating series of six ticketed “Awesome Autumn” events. After a busy summer season, Bango’s talented team is ready to push culinary boundaries, creating new menus, exploring diverse cooking styles, and transforming their space to provide fresh and exciting experiences for their patrons.

The festivities commence with “The Bango KFC Night” (Korean Fried Chicken), where guests can savor a lively DJ set, creating the perfect ambiance for an evening of tantalizing Korean-inspired cuisine. Following this, the “Bango Bento Night” promises a delightful feast of Bento boxes, complemented by live music and a local pop-up ice cream parlor serving desserts directly to each guest.

October brings the renowned Falmouth Oyster Festival, and Bango Kitchen kicks off the celebrations with a spirited “Shellfish Feast” the night before the festival’s commencement. For those seeking a rejuvenating experience on Oyster Festival Sunday, the “Sushi & Sparkle Lunch” awaits, offering multiple courses of sushi, paired with fine wines by their friends at North Coast Wine, and a glass of delightful bubbly to elevate the experience.

The highly anticipated “Bango Banquet” is an event that Bango Kitchen is famed for. This culinary journey boasts six meticulously crafted courses, each thoughtfully introduced by their accomplished chefs. Guests can expect a leisurely-paced evening filled with memorable food experiences.

To conclude this exciting autumn series, Bango Kitchen challenges its culinary and front-of-house teams to host an evening of innovative “Pan Asian Small Plates and Mini Cocktails.” The event promises to be a lively soirée, with DJ-spun tunes providing the soundtrack for an unforgettable night of bites and creative libations.

These enticing events represent just a taste of what’s on the horizon at Bango Kitchen. Stay tuned for more culinary adventures coming your way in the upcoming months as Bango continues to delight and surprise its patrons.
