Hop Back Brewery won Taste of the West’s Champion Beer award for their Entire Stout.
Hop Back Brewery was started in the Wyndham Arms in Salisbury by John Gilbert in 1986. Demand quickly outstripped the capacity leading to a required move down the road to Downton where brewing continues today with the same focus on quality real ale.
The Wyndham Arms has appeared in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide every year since, and Hop Back Brewery have gone on to acquire a further 8 pubs over the years!
Jamie Fergusson, Head Brewer from Hop Back Brewery commented: “It feels great to win an award for a product that we are so proud of! It’s good for the team to get the recognition of their effort, and it means more when it comes from an organisation whose ethos of local, high-quality products aligns so closely with our own focus as a business.”
