Mouthwatering is an overused word when writing about good food but there’s simply no alternative when it comes to describing what is on offer at the Puxton Farm Shop.

This family-owned business has farming at its heart and everything that makes it into the farm shop has a full back-story. The onsite, award-winning butchery counter is stocked with farm-fresh, zero food-miles lamb and beef. The farming practices used to raise these animals contribute to the delicious flavour and texture of the meat on the counter. Grass-fed and free-range, it would be hard to find more succulent steaks.
The meat counter is fully laden with kebabs and burgers, sausages and chops, all under the watchful eye of the experienced onsite butchers.

And when you have finished drooling over the meaty options, the deli counter will have you “oohing” and “aahing” with delight and a plethora of choice, from Wookey Hole cave-aged cheddar to Somerset Brie, and a cheesy heaven from the on-site master cheese makers of Trethowan’s Dairy.
There are cold meats and pastries, home-made ready meals, free-range eggs, honey, jams and chutneys and fresh bread to create your very own ploughman’s or chunky sandwich, not forgetting the fresh milk and milkshake vending machine with the milk coming straight from the dairy cows grazing on Puxton Park farmland.
This one-stop shop prides itself on having everything you need for a weekly shop right there under one roof with fruit and vegetables, store cupboard essentials and a well-stocked off licence. And if the produce doesn’t come directly from Puxton, it will have been sourced as locally as possible to try and keep all food miles to a minimum.
Mouthwatering!
