One of Somerset’s oldest cider makers, Sheppy’s Cider, has launched partnerships with two prominent local sports teams, Taunton Titans RFC and Taunton Town FC, to become the main sponsor of both clubs. The partnerships will see Sheppy’s become the sole cider provider for Taunton RFC, with the club set to offer Sheppy’s renowned 200 cider, Original Cloudy cider and Cider with Raspberry.
Nick Mason, Commercial Coordinator at Taunton Rugby Club, said: “Taunton RFC is delighted to be associated with a local company in Sheppy’s Cider. From our initial meeting it was clear that both parties share so many of the same values and we can’t wait to see the relationship get started. Somerset is cider country and we are looking forward to our home supporters getting behind the fantastic products, whilst supporting their rugby club and also a local company. We have away supporters from all over the UK visit Veritas Park and now they can get a taste of a true Somerset cider.”
Additionally, Sheppy’s will become the sole draught cider provider at Tanton Town FC, where fans will be able to enjoy Sheppy’s 200, as well as an assortment of bottled ciders including Original Cloudy, Cider with Blackberry & Elderflower and the brand’s Low Alcohol variety.
