Liskeard based Gin, Rum and Vodka creators, G&Tea Limited have been working on a secret project for nearly a year and finally the fruits of their labour can be revealed.
They have created an exclusive range of spirits for the iconic and world famous National Gallery in London! The range includes a rich arabica espresso vodka, a stunningly smooth classic London Dry gin with Cornish grown apples and burnt Valencian orange and a warming spiced rum with fresh ginger and butterscotch.
G&Tea have become known and well recognised for their signature label style which encapsulates beautifully designed and intriguing images “within” the bottle that are brought to life by the clarity of the distilled liquors; inviting you to explore the world beyond the spirit. Seen here with their multi-award winning 80days gin with steampunk map and balloon design and recent winner of a Great British Food Award.
“We have worked very closely with the team at The National Gallery as these bottles house images of world famous artworks, hundreds of years old and something like this has never been done before.” said founder and Managing Director of G&Tea, Chris Robsinon-Brown. “We worked tirelessly to ensure the spirits we have created are of a world class standard and worthy of the honour of displaying these works of art to be enjoyed by people from all over the world visiting this gallery.”
The artworks selected by the gallery include The Ambassadors by Hans Helbein, Sunflowers by Van Gogh and The Fighting Temeraire by William Turner and with plans to expand the range with seasonal changes to the artwork, additional bottle sizes and new recipes, already under development, these unique spirits will become a unique collectable item for both art and spirit lovers alike.
“It was a real team effort with our Design Director Elizabeth Hyde crafting the stunning label designs and then all pressures where on Jay Robsinon Brown (operations director) to manage the labelling and logistics but we did it and the results are truly spectacular and an exciting start to a great future with the Gallery, and all from our little quiet corner of the UK, Cornwall!”
The National Gallery is open 7 days a week from 10am, located in Trafalgar Square, London and the spirits can be found in the various gift shops at the museum.
