Salcombe Dairy unveils artisanal Easter egg collection

Salcombe Dairy has introduced a new line of Easter Eggs, all meticulously crafted from bean-to-bar chocolate sourced in South Devon.

The designer drew inspiration from Devon’s splendid flora and fauna found in hedgerows, as well as the wildlife inhabiting the Salcombe estuary, both on dinghies and in the water, to fashion the egg boxes. Every aspect of the Easter egg packaging is fully home compostable and was printed in South Devon using vegetable inks, consistent with Salcombe Dairy’s commitment to utilising only reusable or fully compostable materials.

These delightful designs have already garnered both Gold and Silver prizes in the Free-From Awards, reflecting their production in a factory entirely free from nuts, gluten, and eggs. Salcombe Dairy’s chocolate is crafted from fairly-traded, organic Peruvian cacao beans, with the range now featuring some organic Easter eggs certified by the Soil Association, a new addition for Easter 2024.

Salcombe Dairy exclusively employs 100% natural ingredients in crafting their acclaimed ice cream and chocolate. Their product line is expanding to include new blond chocolate ice cream and hand-decorated blond chocolate Easter eggs. Fans of Devon will appreciate the beautifully adorned Primrose Easter egg, inspired by the March flowering plant abundant throughout the region. Likewise, sailors of Devon will relish the rum and raisin egg, crafted from raisins steeped in rum and enveloped in Evening Star, a sophisticated darker milk chocolate egg.

To make trade enquiries for retail or corporate gifting, please contact scrumptious@salcombedairy.co.uk. Salcombe Dairy ice cream and chocolate are available in high-end delis and farm shops. To purchase Easter eggs or ice cream online for home delivery, visit www.salcombedairy.co.uk.
