Flapjackery comes to Padstow, and there’s a chance to win a year’s supply of flapjacks

Flapjackery is coming to Padstow and to celebrate, they’re giving one lucky person a year’s supply of flapjacks.

This marks the latest in a series of openings for Tavistock-based Flapjackery, which has expanded to 12 locations across the region and those in the queue for the opening will be in with a chance of winning a year’s supply of flapjacks, with the first 100 people through the door eligible to enter the competition.

The doors open next Thursday 16th May at 11.00am and if you don’t manage to snag the big prize, you’ll be given a free box of three flapjacks, if you buy three or more flapjacks!

Located at 3-4 Hornabrook Court, Broad Street, Flapjackery Padstow is the latest opening for Flapjackery which was created nine years ago by co-founders Carol Myott and Sally Jenkin’s mutual love of baking.

Flapjackery’s journey began at a local farmers market in Tavistock, where Carol and Sally’s passion for baking quickly gained a loyal following, with customers raving about their unique flavors and toppings.

The Padstow shop is their 12th, with Dartmouth and Falmouth opening earlier this year. At both openings big crowds had gathered with customers eager to win a year’s supply of flapjacks.

L-R RNLI’s Jenny Langdon, Richard Newton, Flapjackery’s Alison Miles and Tracey Barker, RNLI’s Sam Donati.

The shop will be fundraising for the Padstow Lifeboat Station as part of Flapjackery’s commitment to the RNLI. Its shops in Fowey, Minehead, Plymouth, St Ives, Falmouth and Dartmouth already support the charity, and its Sidmouth branch supports the town’s independent station. For every customer who declines a carrier bag or box, Flapjackery will donate 20p to the charity. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from their special charity flapjacks will also go to the charity.

Carol said: “I’m thrilled to open our latest Flapjackery location in Padstow. The village’s natural beauty, rich history, and vibrant artistic community make it truly unique. Padstow is a foodie’s paradise, and I’m excited to bring our delicious flapjacks to the local community. But what I love most is the warmth and friendliness of the people. It’s a place where everyone knows each other, creating a strong sense of community. It’s the perfect home for Flapjackery.”

Flapjackery Padstow opens Thursday, May 16th, 11.00am, and is located at 3-4 Hornabrook Court, Broad St, Padstow, PL28 8DX.
