Emerging Cornish spirit maker, Padstow Distilling, has re-released its award-winning vodka in a beautiful new presentation depicting its unique geographical roots, following the expansion of its premises last month. Padstow Vodka ‘Gun Point’ (£44.00 rrp inc VAT) is made from the distillery’s own barley-derived spirit, and bottled at 40% abv with natural water from the source at Tregirls Farm.
Crafted from foraged and farmed ingredients found on North Cornwall’s coast, Padstow Distilling is gaining a reputation for its small-batch spirits. Since its launch in 2019, the young distillery has taken home multiple awards, a testament to founder David McWilliam’s, attention to detail.
David and his team are one of just a handful of distilleries in the UK currently creating their own base spirit. Using Cornish barley grown a mile away from the distillery, the process takes three weeks and ensures the highest quality of provenance for the distillery’s spirits and assures each sip resonates with the essence and terroir of Cornwall.
David McWilliam, founder and head distiller of Padstow Distilling, “Our commitment to crafting our base spirit might be a labour of love, but it’s what sets us apart. There’s no shortcut to perfection, and we’re proud to let our spirits speak for themselves.”
Padstow Vodka “Gun Point” is best served from the freezer on the rocks or mixed in classic Vodka cocktails such as the Martini or Bloody Mary. Every pour promises to evoke the rugged beauty and maritime allure of Padstow. Prices per 70cl bottle start at £44.
