Drinks Kitchen, a locally made non-alcoholic aperitif brand (Weston-Super-Mare), has secured a Gold award at the IWSC (International Wine and Spirit Competition) for its Orange Cinchona Bitter Non-Alcoholic Aperitif. This achievement marks the highest score among UK Non-Alcoholic drinks at this year’s awards, with an impressive 96 points. Additionally, Drinks Kitchen received a Silver award for its Herb Verde Non-Alcoholic Aperitif, scoring 93 points.
The Drinks Kitchen range has already earned five Great Taste awards and holds the title of Champion Cold Drink with Taste of the West since its launch in June 2021.
Alli Briaris, the founder and creator of the range, established the brand after deciding to abstain from alcohol in 2021. She explains, “When I gave up alcohol, I realized there was a significant gap in the market for sophisticated non-alcoholic options when dining out or enjoying a drink. People want something special that tastes amazing and complements their meal. Winning the latest award from the IWSC has boosted my confidence—it’s the most respected global awards program, in existence since 1969.”
The Drinks Kitchen range features a botanical base of distilled and extracted herbs and spices, resulting in intense, unique, and exciting beverages for those opting to moderate or give up alcohol.
