Bays teams up with Torbay Coast & Countryside Trust to support Devon’s wild spaces

Bays Brewery has teamed up with Torbay Coast & Countryside Trust (TCCT) for its first charity brew of 2025 entitled ‘Evergreen’, a smooth session IPA inspired by the region’s rich natural habitat.

Available in bottles, beer boxes and on cask from 24 February 2025, its bright fruit and citrus aromas capture the vibrant essence of the wildlife and wild spaces TCCT works tirelessly to protect. Sold via Bays’ online shop and in Occombe Farm Shop, as well as served in pubs and bars across Devon, 5% of every pint and bottle sold will go towards the Trust’s conservation work in Torbay.

The limited-edition beer is the second charity beer collaboration crafted by the Paignton-based brewery and TCCT who joined forces back in 2023 for its popular ‘Beery Head’ golden ale.

Director of Bays Brewery, Peter Salmon, said: “We’re thrilled to be teaming up with TCCT once again for our first charity brew of 2025. ‘Evergreen’ is more than just a great-tasting session IPA – it’s a tribute to the incredible natural spaces and wildlife that make our region so special.

“Supporting local causes has always been at the heart of what we do, and we’re proud that every pint and bottle sold will help TCCT continue its vital work. Whether you’re enjoying it at home, in the pub, or at Occombe Farm Cafe, you’ll be raising a glass to a greener, wilder Devon.”

Helen Warren, Chief Executive Officer of Torbay Coast & Countryside Trust, said: “We’re absolutely delighted Bays Brewery will be raising vital funds to support our conservation work across Torbay. You’ll find it stocked in our Occombe Farm Shop as soon as it launches—so why not pick up a bottle (or two!), enjoy a great local beer, and support the preservation of our beautiful green spaces at the same time?

“As an independent conservation charity, we rely on funding, grants, and donations to care for Torbay’s green spaces. Including Berry Head National Nature Reserve and Cockington Country Park, woodlands, meadows and coastline. Places we all love to walk, picnic, and explore, but also provide vital habitats for rare species. So, here’s to great beer for a great cause – cheers!”

‘Evergreen’ is the first of four charity brews being served up by the family-run brewery which is giving back to the Devon community throughout 2025 with four limited-edition charity brews. Visit www.baysbrewery.co.uk to find out more.
