Cornish Firebrand Brewing Co.’s Shorebreak named Britain’s best non-alcoholic pale ale at World Beer Awards

Firebrand Brewing Co. is delighted to announce that their non-alcoholic hazy pale, Shorebreak, has been named Best in Britain at the World Beer Awards.

Joe Thomson, Co-owner and Head Brewer at Firebrand Brewing Co. explains: “We’re thrilled to have won this prestigious accolade for our much-loved Shorebreak. It has already gained itself a huge fan base amongst our customers but it is incredibly rewarding to also be recognised by the World Beer panel of judges, who are real experts in their field. We fought off stiff competition to be named best in Britain, in a rapidly growing category!”

Shorebreak (0.5% ABV) is an alcohol-free hazy pale that is full of hoppy flavour. It provides everything you love about a hazy pale but without the hangover. Brewed with Simcoe, Citra and Cascade, it’s super smooth and light with tons of tropical flavour. It is gluten free, vegan friendly and only 35 calories per can.

Joe adds: “When I set up the brewery more than ten years ago, I had no intention of creating alcohol-free beer but when I recently took up running, I needed an alternative to my daily pint, to help keep my training on track. That’s when I created Shorebreak. The response has been overwhelming and it has quickly become one of our best-selling beers. It is hugely satisfying to know that the experts love it too.”

Firebrand Brewing Co was forged in 2012 in a converted milking parlour on the untamed edge of Bodmin Moor, North Cornwall. The idea was born from a passion for beer made from all-natural ingredients, Cornish spring water and American hops. Now based in a purpose-built brewery in Launceston, using the finest ingredients and a dedication to quality, their mission is to ‘Go Beyond The Usual’, encouraging drinkers to explore new flavours and discover something different with every sip.

The World Beer Awards are the global awards selecting the very best in all the internationally recognised styles.
