Dartmouth’s Roly’s Fudge features in new Google Workspace advertising campaign

Dartmouth’s Roly’s Fudge pantry is participating in a new national advertising campaign for Google Workspace this autumn.

The tech company has created a new campaign, ‘10 Stories’, which focuses on ten small businesses across Britain who use Google Workspace with Gemini to help run and grow their businesses. The adverts will feature the Dartmouth branch of the traditional fudge maker and will demonstrate how owner Matt Pugh and his son Ben use Google Workspace with Gemini to expand their business, from researching potential new sugar free fudge flavours to helping them with paperwork.

The integrated campaign featuring the West Country fudge producers will appear across YouTube, podcasts, LinkedIn, Facebook, and on Google’s own social media channels and website. It will also be seen in national and regional newspapers, and on billboards in key UK cities including Drake’s Circus in Plymouth and Waterloo Station in London until the first week of November.

The duo will also appear in a compilation advert alongside other featured small UK businesses as part of the nationwide campaign. This will run on various broadcast on demand channels such as Sky Adsmart, Channel 4, ITVX as well as subscription on demand channels like Amazon Prime and Netflix.

Matt Pugh from Roly’s Fudge in Dartmouth said, “We’re beyond excited and incredibly proud to appear in this new ‘10 Stories’ campaign for Google Workspace that champions small businesses across Britain. More and more, small businesses are facing a range of diverse challenges on a day-to-day basis. 2025 has been a year where companies across the UK have had to adapt quickly. It was an unexpected surprise to discover that a business like Roly’s Fudge, which is rooted in tradition and handcrafted produce, can successfully work hand in hand with something as futuristic as AI. It’s been fascinating learning how AI tools can lend a hand with the background work, allowing us to focus on what we do best – making the best fudge we can!”

Roly’s Fudge is a family-run business that has been making traditional, handmade fudge since 1987. Using a classic West Country recipe, each batch is cooked in small quantities using natural ingredients to create rich, crumbly fudge with a unique texture. Roly’s Fudge now has over 40 fudge pantries across the UK, including its Dartmouth location, each one making fresh fudge daily in full view of customers. With a wide range of delicious flavours, Roly’s Fudge has become a favourite for locals and visitors alike.

Barnaby Voss, UK Marketing Director for Google Cloud commented: “We built this campaign around authentic stories to celebrate the creativity and ambition of real people using Google Workspace with Gemini to turn big ideas into reality.”

Dannee McGuire, Director of Roly’s Fudge added, “I’m so delighted that Google Workspace is shining a light on Roly’s Fudge and the wonderful Dartmouth pantry run successfully by Matt and the team.”
