The Food WorksSW welcomes Majic Protein to its business units

Food and drink innovation centre The Food WorksSW has announced Majic Protein as a new occupant of one of its on-site food-grade business units.

The high quality protein cookie dough company has recently moved into its bigger new premises following a growing national demand for its handmade high protein, low sugar, cookie dough. Their snacks have gained legions of customers with their innovative flavours regularly selling out online.

Majic Protein was co-founded by gym fanatics Ben Ayres and Aidan Watts who decided to create their own line of protein snacks using Aidan’s old family cookie recipe when they couldn’t find a healthy and great tasting snack that satisfied them.

Aidan said, “We both have a sweet tooth, so when we started to work out at the gym we quickly realised we needed to change our diets as none of the healthy snacks on the market tasted any good or hit the mark in our opinion, so we decided to make what we couldn’t find and that’s how Majic Protein was born.”

Ben added, “We now have a large and ever increasing customer base and ship our cookie dough across the UK which is why we needed to find new premises. The unit and incredible facilities on offer at The Food WorksSW will enable us to keep up with demand and expand.”

Since moving into the business unit at The Food WorksSW Ben and Aidan have also made use of the centre’s development kitchens and free support on offer. The Food WorksSW units allow companies like Majic Protein to increase production and grow their business. Their units contain food-grade resin flooring, a staff kitchen and changing area, roller shutter doors, three and single phase electricity, video intercom system and access control, use of the innovation centre’s development kitchen space and meeting rooms and access to specialist business and technical development support through the site operators, The Future Food Partnership CIC.

Simon Greogory, Director of Future Food Partnership CIC which operates The Food WorksSW, commented, “We’re delighted to welcome Majic Protein to our business units and provide them with the space and equipment they need to keep up with demand for their protein cookie dough. It’s such an innovative product with a truly dynamic duo behind it.”
