Truly Treats expands award-winning scone range with two new premium flavours

Devon-based wholesale bakery Truly Treats has expanded its acclaimed scone portfolio with the launch of two new flavours: Spring Onion & Cheese and Cherry. The additions have been developed in response to growing demand from garden centre groups, hospitality venues and national operators seeking consistent, high-quality scones suitable for multi-site afternoon tea service.

The new products are made using the same trusted base recipes as Truly Treats’ existing award-winning lines. The bakery’s Plain Scones achieved GOLD at the 2024 Taste of the West Awards and were finalists in the Sweet Bakery category, while its Fruit Scones secured GOLD in the 2025 awards. Truly Treats also manufactures white label scones for the Caterfood Buying Group, whose product went on to win at the Chefs’ Own Brand Awards.

The Cherry Scone (93g) delivers a high fruit content and traditional appearance, while the Spring Onion & Cheese Scone (97g) offers a rich savoury profile with generous cheese inclusion — providing operators with both a classic and a premium savoury option within afternoon tea service.

Supplied frozen in cases of 28 with a 15-month shelf life, both products allow operators to defrost only what is required, helping to minimise waste while maintaining quality and presentation standards. The scones split cleanly, hold their structure and perform consistently, making them well suited to high-volume environments.

“Our scone range has become an important part of our partnerships with larger operators,” said Ellie Emberson, Director at Truly Treats. “When you’re supplying multi-site businesses, quality has to be consistent every single time. These new flavours allow us to help customers evolve their afternoon tea offer while maintaining the standards their brand reputation depends on.”

The launch strengthens Truly Treats’ position as a specialist supplier of award-recognised scones to national foodservice groups, combining traditional baking expertise with the operational reliability required by multi-site operators.

The new Spring Onion & Cheese and Cherry Scones are available now to foodservice customers across the UK. Further development within the scone range is planned later this year.
