Canned Wine Group scoops Sustainability Award win at Bath Life Awards

Canned Wine Group has been named winner of the Sustainability Award at the Bath Life Awards 2026, following tough category competition. Recognised as one of Bath’s most celebrated annual events, the Bath Life Awards celebrate the very best of the city’s business community and for Canned Wine Group – a Bath B-Corp business redefining how wine is served and consumed – the win marks a significant milestone.

As consumer and operator demand for transparency continues to grow across the drinks industry, Canned Wine Group’s approach – grounded in independent certification, measurable data and alternative format innovation – positions the business as a credible voice in the conversation around sustainable wine. The Bath Life Awards Sustainability win is an achievement that recognises Canned Wine Group’s commitment to building a more responsible, resilient future for wine.

Speaking on the Sustainability Award win, Marieke Hammes, Head of Operations & Sustainability at Canned Wine Group, comments: “Winning the Bath Life Awards Sustainability Award is a proud moment for the whole team. Sustainability has sat at the heart of how the business has been built, informing decisions at every level — from responsible sourcing and packaging choices to governance, supply chain partnerships and long-term growth planning. Achieving both B-Corp certification and Positive Luxury’s ESG+ Butterfly Mark are testaments to that commitment.

Our premium canned wine and wine on tap portfolio are designed to tackle genuine environmental challenges associated with traditional wine service, such as reducing the carbon footprint and liquid waste. We’ve had a commitment since day one to build a business that does things differently — not just in the alternative formats we bring to market, but in how we operate, how we measure our impact, and how we support our customers to do the same. By offering breadth, quality, and more sustainable formats that feel exciting and accessible, we’re committed to making sustainability something the whole drinks industry can get behind.”

Describing Canned Wine Group’s submission, the judges noted that sustainability is “the bedrock of Canned Wine Group, from its business to its structure and values.” As the drinks industry faces increasing pressure to act, Canned Wine Group is already proving that change is possible.
