Flapjackery has opened a permanent shop on Bath’s Pulteney Bridge, following a successful period operating as a pop-up at the location. Now in its 10th year, the Devon-based bakery has grown into an established national brand, with shops across the South West and a strong presence at food festivals and events.
Pulteney Bridge provides a prominent setting for the business. Situated in one of Bath’s most visited and recognisable locations, the shop welcomes both local customers and international visitors, many encountering traditional flapjacks for the first time. The shop also benefits from its proximity to Bath Rugby, attracting regular matchday footfall. The new shop is colourful, welcoming and packed with Flapjackery’s full range.
Flapjackery’s co-founder Carol Myott said: “Pulteney Bridge brings together a wide mix of customers from across the UK and overseas. Many are new to flapjacks, so we take the time to introduce them properly. It is always encouraging to see people return shortly afterwards to take more home with them.”
Shop manager Janine Pickett, who has worked for the company for three years, added: “It’s so exciting for us to be here permanently. The shop looks fantastic and I can’t wait to welcome everyone in. We have a really loyal local following here. People walk past and pop in to say hello, and the neighbouring shopkeepers are always coming in too. There’s a lovely community feel on the bridge.”
To mark the opening, Flapjackery is offering an Easter promotion. Customers who purchase an Easter box containing four or more E flapjacks will receive a complimentary bag of Easter tiffin. The offer is available in store during the first week of opening, while stocks last.
Flapjackery Bath at Pulteney Bridge opened on Saturday 28th March, and is located at 8 Pulteney Bridge, Bath, BA2 4AX. Visit www.flapjackery.co.uk to find out more.
