One of Cornwall’s most beloved culinary celebrations is back – Porthleven Food Festival returns next weekend (Friday 24th to Sunday 26th April) – bringing a vibrant weekend of food, drink and entertainment to the picturesque harbour town.
Free to attend, the festival continues its proud tradition of celebrating Cornwall’s rich food and drink culture, attracting visitors from across the region and beyond. Hosted in collaboration with chef patron Jude Kereama, of Kota and Kota Kai, this year’s event promises an even more exciting and diverse programme.
Visitors can look forward to a packed schedule of live chef demonstrations in the Chef’s Theatre, featuring an impressive line-up of culinary talent. Highlights include Tom Brown, recently awarded a Michelin star, alongside Paul Welburn of Fern, Hylton Espey of Culture, Olivia Barry of Adelina Yard, Rose Cant better known as Mum on Muddy Lane, and Antony Worrall Thompson – plus many others – all showcasing their skills and passion for exceptional food.
New for 2026 is “The Chef’s Table presented by Sharp’s Brewing Co”, an intimate food and drink masterclass venue offering unique experiences for those looking to deepen their appreciation of food, learning new skills and top tips in small group settings from chefs and leading experts. Sharp’s is hosting a fun beer quiz, alongside sessions with top chefs including Stephane Delourme, Henk de Villiers, Guy Owen and Chris, in addition to a varied programme from Oyster shucking, fish filleting, wine tasting and knife skills with Pareusi. Tickets are on sale now, via the festival’s website.
Festival favourites also make a welcome return, including the ever-popular Comedy Roast, blending a delicious two-course roast dinner with performances from Cornish comedians Matt Price, Tom Glover and rising star Tom Rodgers. And for something truly magical, on Sunday visitors can even have lunch with the mermaids, adding a touch of coastal charm and wonder to the weekend.
Naughty Nonna is hosting two unforgettable Supper Club dining experiences full of flavour and personality, served family style with plates piled high, on Friday and Saturday. And by night the Evening Sessions live music takes centre stage, with performances from Joey The Lips and Good Ol’Fashioned Lover Boys plus support, in addition to free daytime music all weekend long.
For the festival’s youngest visitors The Moors Village Fair, offers a brand-new family-friendly area packed with activities, entertainment and fun for all ages.
Jude Kereama, Porthleven Food Festival Chef Patron, says: “Porthleven Food Festival is all about celebrating the incredible food culture we have here in Cornwall – from the people who grow and catch it, to the chefs who bring it to life. This year we’ve added some really exciting new experiences alongside returning favourites, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back to the harbour for what promises to be a fantastic weekend.”
The festival offers an exceptional foodie experience, for residents and visitors alike, helping to stimulate the local economy and better support the town’s community.
