Pipers & Co launches new food platform to connect regenerative farmers with ethical shoppers

Created to close the gap between producers doing the right thing and consumers who want to support them, Pipers & Co is a new kind of food shopping platform that offers full transparency on farming methods, supply chains and individual producer stories.

Founded by second generation regenerative farmers, Will Greig and Abby Allen, the launch of Pipers & Co begins a new chapter in a journey that started with Will’s parents, Peter and Henri, when they first established Pipers Farm, Devon in 1989. Building upon decades of progressive farming heritage, Will and Abby are creating a community, not a supply chain. Pipers & Co is here to absorb the burden of sales, logistics and marketing to allow small farms to do what they do best, and give consumers a trusted destination where the sourcing work has already been done.

Through meaningful, long term relationships with regenerative farmers and traditional producers, Pipers & Co aims to rebuild the local supply networks that industrial food systems have eroded, and deliver food that people can trust directly to their doors.

The current Pipers & Co range features meat, pantry items and chef prepared meals, with early partners including Philip Warren & Son, the renowned Cornish butcher with over 140 years of experience. While supplying Michelin-starred restaurants including L’Enclume, The Ledbury and Brat, Philip Warren & Son will also now bring its grass fed beef and lamb to the Pipers & Co platform.

Via Pipers & Co, customers can understand not just what they are buying but who grew it, how the land is being managed, and why those choices matter, while finding and selecting items as conveniently as anything on a supermarket shelf. With consumers increasingly sceptical of green and ethical food labelling, transparency is central to the model. Pipers & Co is committed to delivering a traceable provenance story for every product, something that is largely absent from UK retail.

Will Greig, founder of Pipers & Co, commented: “The UK food system is at an inflection point, consumer trust in industrial food is eroding. The number of farmers leaving the land is rising. Local abattoirs have collapsed across the country. Soil health is in measurable decline. Biodiversity on farmland has fallen sharply. And yet the infrastructure to connect people who want better food with the farmers who are working hard to produce it remains fragmented, difficult to navigate and largely inaccessible. By aggregating supply, verifying provenance and handling the logistics and costs, we can make the regenerative food economy viable at scale, without requiring any producer to grow beyond what their land, ethics or capacity allows. The food system does not need another brand. It needs better infrastructure. Pipers & Co is starting to build it.”

Pipers & Co’s full range of products is available to order for nationwide delivery at pipers.co.
