Pipers & Co partner with Philip Warren & Son to build a more resilient local food system

Devon-based Pipers & Co has announced the launch of a landmark partnership for its new ethical food shopping platform, with renowned Cornish butcher, Philip Warren & Son, now joining the growing community of farmers and producers choosing to do things the right way.

Building upon shared values and a commitment to the preservation of opportunities, skills and traditions within food and farming, this partnership will see Philip Warren & Son’s exceptional quality meat made more widely available than ever before. Bringing 140 years of butchery experience to the table, and meat sourced from the very best West Country farmers, Philip Warren will now channel all online sales through the Pipers & Co platform. This means customers can benefit from nationwide delivery, a simple ordering process, and a wider larder of dairy, pantry and other items from like-minded British producers.

Pipers & Co customers will now have access to the level of craft butchery relied on at many of the country’s finest restaurants, including L’Enclume, The Ledbury and Brat, delivered to their door. Working to close the gap between producers doing the right thing and those consumers who want to support them, this latest partnership shows the Pipers & Co model working exactly as intended.

Founded by second generation regenerative farmers, Will Greig and Abby Allen, the launch of Pipers & Co has begun a new chapter in a journey that started with Will’s parents, Peter and Henri, when they first established Pipers Farm in 1989. With decades of progressive farming heritage behind them, Will and Abby are creating a community, not just a supply chain.

As the community expands, and Pipers & Co continues to absorb the burden of sales, logistics and marketing to allow small farms and producers to do what they do best, local supply networks will be rebuilt and strengthened. Customers will be able to enjoy an increasingly wide range of products, all with a traceable provenance story, giving them a trusted destination where the sourcing work has already been done.

Will Greig, founder of Pipers & Co, commented: “Our families have worked alongside each other for many years, building trust and respect as we’ve both navigated the challenges of developing an ethical food system at scale, so we couldn’t be happier that Philip Warren & Son is joining the Pipers & Co community. Every partner is chosen because they are invested in the long term, and we know that Philip Warren brings a deep commitment to the future of their craft, actively training the next generation of butchers at a time when those skills are genuinely at risk of being lost. We both believe wholeheartedly in the benefits of collaboration for the future of farming, and that now is the perfect moment for us to join together to strengthen the options available to nature friendly farmers.”

Pipers & Co’s full range of products, including meat from Philip Warren & Son, is available to order for nationwide delivery at pipers.co.
