A cut above: Ramsbury launches Distillers Cut Vodka

Ramsbury Estate is launching Distillers Cut Vodka, a limited-edition release that offers a new expression of its award-winning Single Estate Vodka. With just 150 bottles available, all individually hand-numbered, the small-batch spirit has been created to showcase the precision and craftsmanship behind Ramsbury’s grain-to-glass distilling process.

Made using a single wheat variety, Bamford, Distillers Cut undergoes an additional stage of distillation beyond Ramsbury’s original vodka. Distilled five times in total and bottled at 47% ABV, the process creates an exceptionally clean, smooth spirit with greater texture and concentration of flavour.

During distillation, Ramsbury takes an even smaller “heart cut” – the purest part of the spirit – to create a vodka with remarkable clarity, depth and balance.

On the nose, Distillers Cut offers delicate notes of soft caramel, vanilla and pear. The palate opens with floral honey before developing into a gently seasoned oak finish with a rich, smooth mouthfeel. Best enjoyed chilled, the higher strength enhances the vodka’s texture while allowing its subtle flavours to shine.

Nik Fordham, Master Distiller & General Manager at Ramsbury, said: “One of the advantages of producing everything on a single estate is that we can keep experimenting and refining what we do. Distillers Cut is a great example of that. By taking a smaller heart cut during distillation, we’ve created a vodka that’s exceptionally clean and full of flavour. It’s a selective process, and one that delivers the quality we’re looking for. For us, it’s always been about quality over quantity, and that’s exactly what this release represents.”

Those purchasing Distillers Cut will receive complimentary membership to Ramsbury’s new membership club, The Distillers Club. The Club will offer early access to limited releases and small batch spirits, invitations to tasting events and samples, as well as early bird event access, and quarterly discount promotions. Available to purchase via Ramsbury.com from the 31st July, while stocks last.
