Uniting Devon’s finest – Sharpham Cheese appoints RAW Food & Drink PR

Award-winning Devon communications agency RAW Food & Drink PR has been appointed to handle public relations for Sharpham Cheese.

The partnership brings together two proudly independent South West businesses with a shared passion for championing outstanding regional food and drink.

Based near Totnes at the South Devon Food Hub, Sharpham Cheese has been crafting artisan cheeses for 45 years. Its celebrated range includes Sharpham Brie, Ticklemore, Washbourne, Rushmore and Elmhirst, made using cow’s, goat’s and sheep’s milk.

Sharpham Cheese is the Great British Food Awards’ South West Regional Champion and was the first cheese dairy in the UK to achieve certified B Corp status.

RAW was named PR Agency of the Year at the 2026 Roxhill Media Awards, in a category judged by Lisa Smosarski, Editorial Director of Stylist Group; Sarah Tomczak, Editor-in-Chief of Red magazine; and Charlotte Williamson, Deputy Editor of The Sunday Times Style. RAW will support Sharpham Cheese with regional and national media relations, product launches, seasonal campaigns and brand storytelling as the cheesemaker continues to grow.

Hayley Reynolds, founder of RAW Food & Drink PR says, “Sharpham Cheese is one of Devon’s most respected and best-loved food producers, with an incredible heritage and an exciting future. We’re delighted to be working with the team to tell the stories behind its cheeses and its commitment to producing exceptional food here in Devon.”

Greg Parsons, co-owner of Sharpham Dairy says, “RAW understands independent food and drink businesses and shares our passion for championing Devon, while also bringing the national perspective needed for a brand sold and enjoyed across the UK. We’re looking forward to working together to tell our story more widely and introduce Sharpham Cheese to an even bigger audience.”

RAW also manages communications for Food Drink Devon, the county’s leading membership organisation for the food, drink and hospitality sector, which Greg Parsons previously chaired for five years. Specialising in food, drink and outdoor living, the agency’s portfolio of South West businesses and organisations also includes Lyme Bay Winery, Sandford Orchards, Roly’s Fudge and Warrens Bakery, giving the team an unrivalled understanding of the region’s producers, people and food culture.
