Cirencester-based independent roastery, RAVE Coffee has won a Great Taste 2-star for its Signature Blend Nº 1, placing its flagship product in the top 12% of entries at the world’s largest and most trusted food and drink awards.
The product that started it all when Rob and Vikki Hodge founded RAVE Coffee in 2011, Signature Blend Nº 1 was created with everyday greatness in mind. A reflection of the roastery’s founding ethos of delivering a better coffee experience for all, the blend achieves standout flavour without compromising on its commitment to responsible sourcing, fair prices for growers and great value for customers.
The Great Taste judges praised the blend’s “pecan and jammy aromas” and enjoyed its “toffee notes matched with a pleasing fruity acidity that bellies the lightness of the roast”, noting how “with milk, it develops an amazing richness with pineapple and creamy caramel chocolate flavours loaded with the most enjoyable vibrancy.” On awarding a 2-star rating, the panel concluded that “all flavours are clean and distinct, and flow smoothly into each other.”
One of RAVE’s other longstanding favourites, Fudge Blend Nº 5, came away from Great Taste 2026 with a 1-star award, while a more recent release, the El Carmen No. 50 Coffee Liqueur, also achieved a Great Taste 1-star rating.
