Food and drink businesses from across Devon are being invited to take part in a practical and forward-looking event focused on building resilience, adapting to change and identifying new opportunities for growth.
Hosted by Devon Food Partnership and Food Drink Devon, the People Planet Profit event takes place on 29 September 2026 at The Corn Barn, Cullompton, bringing together businesses and industry experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the sector in a changing climate.
The event will explore a range of topics relevant to food and drink producers, hospitality businesses and supply chain partners, including managing the impacts of heatwaves and severe weather, building resilient operations and supply chains, supporting staff wellbeing, and identifying new opportunities and profitable innovations.
A line-up of speakers from across the industry will share their experience and insights, including representatives from Sharpham Cheese, Do Good Things Farm, Barbers Chocolate, The Bull Inn, Empire Services, the Met Office, Granny Gothards and Duchy College. The event will be hosted by MC Kelly.
Alongside presentations from industry experts, delegates will have the opportunity to take part in two panel discussions, hear from local businesses, and network with others working across Devon’s food and drink sector.
Attendees will also be able to find out more about funded business support programmes available to Devon businesses, while enjoying refreshments during the day.
The People Planet Profit event aims to provide practical solutions and ideas that businesses can take away and apply within their own organisations, helping them prepare for future challenges while identifying opportunities for sustainable growth.
