Rave expands range of Green Coffee Beans

As the nation continues to raise its home coffee game, Rave has extended its range of unroasted raw green coffee beans for the ever growing tribe of home roasters taking their coffee nerdery to the next level.

With ten varieties now available, including Arabica, Robusta and decaffeinated beans, each coffee comes with its own unique flavour profile and roasting characteristics. This gives home roasters the chance to experiment with coffee origins, strength and caffeine level or even create their own blends. Popcorn makers and iron skillets can be used for those first small batches, before it’s time to commit and invest in a countertop coffee bean roaster.

Ethically and responsibly sourced from single estate and smallholder cooperatives in the world’s finest growing regions, these beans are green through and through. Rave is committed to maintaining a balance between the environment and the livelihoods of all involved in coffee production, maintaining long-term relationships with producers in order to improve the sustainability of farms and to ensure that a fair price is paid to the farmer. Building upon this ethos, the roastery has now joined 1% for the Planet, pledging 1% of all sales to the preservation and restoration of the natural environment.

Rave’s Green Coffee Beans range features the Guatemala Bosques de San Francisco, with notes of toffee apple, mango and cocoa, the Ethiopian Sidamo, with notes of stone fruits, citrus and black tea, and the Indian Monsooned Malabar AA, exposed to high humidity and open to the atmospheric conditions of the monsoon before drying, to deliver chocolate, cedar, wood smoke and spice on the palate.

Each variety of Green Coffee Beans has been grown, harvested and processed at origin, whether fully washed, natural, wet hulled or wet polished, ready to be roasted, ground and brewed at home. With many home roasters finding themselves hooked from the very ‘first crack’ of the beans, Rave is inviting coffee fans to take an even deeper dive into the daily grind.

Rave’s Green Coffee Beans are available to purchase from ravecoffee.co.uk, starting from £5.20 for Arabica coffee beans and £3.00 for Robusta coffee beans.
