The Angel is proud to announce they received their AA 2 Rosettes award for the 3rd consecutive year. This is a fantastic achievement by Head Chef Elly Wentworth and her dedicated team. A great big thank you and well done to them all.
The AA are at the forefront of hospitality standards and the AA Rosettes were first awarded in 1956. It was the first nationwide scheme for assessing the quality of food served by restaurants and hotels. The team of inspectors have an unrivalled wealth of experience in assessing quality throughout the UK so receiving the award is a huge achievement not to be underestimated.
The Angel has achieved many awards for 20/21, including the Devon Tourism ‘Gold’ for Restaurant of the Year Award, and ‘Silver’ in the same category for South West England Tourism awards, a testament to the high standards and quality of food being produced. Their service is second to none, and the front of house team headed up by Jordan Wiltshire, are always on hand to ensure your visit to is exceptional. All to be enjoyed in the most spectacular setting overlooking the River Dart.
The relaxed fine dining experience has something for everyone, whether it is a fabulous Sunday lunch, the A La Carte menu or the outstanding tasting menu which can be taken with the recommended wine flight. All of the dishes are created with meticulous care, using only the finest, and wherever possible, local produce.
