Renowned Bristol brewery Wiper and True are planning to open a third site in Bristol. They have submitted a licence application to Bristol City Council for a massive new brewery and taproom in Easton.
The 28,000 sq ft warehouse will join their first brewery in York Street, opened in 2004 and a sister site in nearby Merstham Road know as the Barrel Store which opened last year and allowed the team to experiment with more specialist methods of brewing including barrel ageing.
A Wiper and True spokesperson said: “The main part of the business is moving to a small industrial estate in Old Market, tucked just behind the Trinity Centre.
“It’s a 28,000 sqft warehouse with plenty of space for a huge, modern tap and a brand new brewery.
“There’s lots of room for our business to grow – just what we’ve been dreaming of. We get the keys in the wintertime and hope to open up to the public in Spring 2022.”
The company plan to keep hold of their current St Werburghs site which they have “exciting plans” for.
